Some photos from Simac Tanning Tech, the annual fair in Milan dedicated to the machinery for leather processing that is organized in conjunction with Lineapelle fair. This year the event took place on September 20th to 22nd and represented one of the most important occasions of meeting after the pandemic for most of the worldwide players.
Italprogetti attended the fair with its own stand to present its wide range of equipment for tannery such as polypropylene drums for beamhouse and dyehouse, R&D lab drums, automation systems and software solutions for a global control and supervision of automatic execution of process recipes. The environmental division discussed with clients about the various possibilities for recycle, recovery and reuse of the various spent floats, matching the market’s needs for more circularity and lower pollution impact.
In collaboration with the data analysis company Spin 360, during the workshop titled “Lifecycle Assessment in the Tanning Industry” our APAC Area Manager Mr. Riccardo Fabiani was invited to give a speech on behalf of Italprogetti about the ongoing evolution toward sustainability of the leather industry, through the eyes of machines manufacturers.
The fair was also the occasion to launch a brand new product, the Smart Drum. This one-of-a-kind R&D testing drum, developed in partnership with Spin 360, has a body in polypropylene and it’s fitted with a complete set of sensors that allow the tanners to monitor in detail all the working parameters, and to transfer all process data to a special software that may simulate the possible eco-friendly alternatives and propose new recipes for the next batches.
